Terms and Conditions

HiKOKI Power Tools are thoroughly checked, tested and are subject to a stringent Quality Assurance Policy.

Three (3) Year Extended Electric Tool Warranty (Valid from 01.01.2011)

This HiKOKI Electric Tool warranty is offered by HiKOKI Power Tools (UK) Ltd (referred to herein after as “HiKOKI Power Tools”), Precedent Drive, Rooksley, Milton Keynes, MK13 8PJ, against defective materials or workmanship.

Products covered

All HiKOKI cordless power tools purchased and delivered to an address in the United Kingdom.

All HiKOKI electric power tools purchased and delivered to an address in the United Kingdom.

4.0Ah Li-Ion Batteries

6.0Ah Li-Ion Batteries

Products not covered

Gas nailers. These are covered by the standard 12 month manufacturer’s warranty.

Petrol tools. These are covered by the standard 12 month manufacturer’s warranty.

Fleet tools. These are covered by a 3 month warranty against manufacturing defects.

HiKOKI power tools are warranted to the original owner to be free from defect in materials and workmanship for a period of three (3) years from the original purchase date (see exceptions below).

Exceptions

This warranty extension offer does not cover items that HiKOKI Power Tools deem to be consumable, for example:

  • Carbon Brushes
  • Batteries (except 4.0Ah, 5.0Ah and 6.0Ah Li-Ion batteries as above)
  • Battery chargers
  • Chucks
  • Accessories
  • Storage equipment such as tool bags, cases, tool vaults
  • Nailer bumpers, driver blades and O rings

This extended warranty offer is only open to HiKOKI products purchased new within the UK bearing a visible serial number and ‘CE’ marking. This extended limited warranty is not available to hire fleet; a standard three (3) months is available only.

Defects in materials or workmanship or damages result from repairs or alterations which have been made or attempted by others or the unauthorised use of nonconforming parts.

The damage is due to normal wear and tear.

This warranty is void if:

The damage is due to abuse (including overloading of the HiKOKI Product beyond capacity), improper maintenance, neglect or accident.

The damage is due to use of the HiKOKI Product after partial failure, use with improper accessories or non-compliance with operating instructions.

The damage is due to slight deviations from specification that do not affect tool function or value.

Warranty Coverage

The warranty period begins from the time the tool is purchased from new. The starting date is the date on the original sales receipt. Services provided under the extended warranty to the tool do not renew or lengthen the warranty period.

Once a valid warranty claim has been received (within the warranty period) the defect shall be corrected by means of repair or equivalent replacement (in full working order). If the defective tool is replaced, the faulty machine shall become the property of HiKOKI Power Tools.

A valid warranty claim requires the submission of the complete tool (with matching serial number to that on the registration form), the original sales receipt that must show model number and purchase date.

Delivery Charges for invalid claims may be charged at HiKOKI Power Tools discretion. Invalid claims may be repairable, in which case an estimate of the costs involved could be offered.

HiKOKI will only collect or repair tools purchased under warranty from a UK address.

HiKOKI disclaims any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular use or purpose, and all other warranties. In no event shall

HiKOKI be liable for any incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any costs, legal fees, expenses, losses or delays alleged to be as a consequence of any damage to, failure of, or defect in any product including, but not limited to, any claims for loss of profits.

All products are subject to the Sales of Goods Act 1979 and as such it remains the responsibility of the retailer to service the consumer, not the manufacturer.
